Welcome to vom Airmont German Shepherds, located in Purcellville, Virginia. Convenient to Northern Virginia and Maryland, we are German Shepherd breeders located in Northern Virginia just minutes west of Leesburg. Our breed program follows the standards established by the Association for German Shepherd Dogs, the Verein fur Deutsche Schaferhunde (SV). This organization sets forth the standards for the German Shepherd breed and breeding programs. Additionally, all of our dogs are AKC registered and we are members of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America (USA).

At vom Airmont, we selectively breed top German blood lines in order to produce puppies that are fit for family companionship, working ability, the show ring, agility, Search and Rescue, schutzhund, Police work, and Service Dog work. Our breeding program specifically aims to produce dogs with sound temperment, excellent health, and correct conformation.

Breeding Standards
All of our dogs have proven that they are worthy of being bred and have passed the following rigorous tests:
  • Hip and Elbow certifications
  • (BH) A companion dog obedience and temperament test
  • (AD) A 12-mile endurance run
  • (SchH1) A working title of at least Schutzhund 1, proving their ability in obedience, tracking, and protection
  • (V) A minimum show and confirmation rating of Excellent by a certified judge
  • (KKL1) Breed surveyed by a Kormeister with a rating of Class 1
